Someday you’ll understand that I do it for you
Every day spent away is all because of you
I’m off in another country, trying to keep you
safe-
Fighting in the U.S. Army cause I know no better
way-
You may rather that I was more often
back at home-
And I admit I do too
But I’m fighting so you don’t have to-
Better me than you
Stay away from the news-
It’s always something bad
Always always support the troops-
That’ll make me a proud Dad
I promise that I’ll be coming home
Just you wait and see
